We offer the following levels:
Basic users: A1 and A2
Independent users: B1-, B1, B1+ and B2
Proficient users: C1
During all our language courses, skills are continuously assessed with feedback provided to both the participant and, where applicable, the client.
We test the four skills separately: listening, reading, writing, speaking.
Fees
Per CEFR level: €125 (reading, writing and listening) - €80 (speaking)
We organise the administration of the Certificate of Dutch as a Foreign Language (CNaVT).
CNaVT is responsible for testing and certification of learners of Dutch as a Foreign Language.
The test consists of four parts: listening, reading, writing, speaking.

Thursday the 14th of May and Friday the 15th of May 2026, each day at 08:45 a.m.
The final registration deadline is the 23rd of March 2026.

The exact test location will be communicated by email.
You are expected to arrive punctually at 08:45 a.m. with an identity card or passport.
Registration and payment period:
From 23 February to 23 March 2026.
Your registration is final once we have received all required information and payment or proof of payment.
If payment is not received, you will not be admitted to the test.
Fees
Exam fees include:
• Exam application
• Part A: listening and writing, in a classroom setting
• Part B: reading and writing, in a classroom setting
• Part C: speaking, individually with an examiner
• Coffee, tea and water
Candidates who pass will receive their certificate at the end of July.
Candidates who do not pass will be informed at the same time.

With the ITNA (Interuniversity Dutch Language Test for Non-Native Speakers), a CEFR B2 certificate can be obtained, or – after an additional test – a CEFR C1 certificate.
B2 is the required entry level for starting students in Flemish higher education.
For some programmes, C1 is required.
With this certificate, you can apply for the Belgian nationality and a driver´s license
It also provides access to the healthcare sector, education system and public service positions.
